Our focus is on middle market to large corporate clients, delivering property-casualty brokerage services, including risk analysis, program design, marketing and administration, and loss control. When losses occur, we surround our clients with intense claim advocacy services.
A Long History Continued
The Palmer & Cay story is about the quality of people that have been associated with our company from its earliest days, back to 1868 when Joseph E. Johnston founded an insurance agency on historic Factors Walk in Savannah, Georgia.
It’s a story about a growing legacy of individuals who have inspired, motivated, and led an outstanding group of professionals for more than a century. Ours is a story about clients and the trust they place in our associates. Many of these relationships have endured for decades, and it is the loyalty, support and partnership of these clients that make it possible for us to be in business today.

We are looking for experience, strong integrity and intellect, and associates who share our commitment to leadership in business and to the communities where we work and live.
We encourage our associates to spend time in the communities in which we work and contribute their talents to improve the quality of life for others. As a sign of our commitment, we provide 36 hours per year of paid time away from work for each associate to volunteer with not-for-profit organizations of their choosing.
